Community Renewable Energy Waterloo is a non-profit organization dedicated to making renewable energy accessible to the citizens of Waterloo Region. Its vision is to be a network of knowledgeable advocates, early adopters and interested citizens who initiate, resource and support all local projects that encourage energy conservation and sustainable use of energy or materials from naturally regenerating sources, such as wind, solar and earth energy.
MegaWHAT? is a community group dedicated to the preservation and protection of our vital wetlands and green space and to reducing our carbon footprint. It has been actively opposing the proposed North York Region power plant.
York Region Environmental Alliance is a not-for-profit organization with a volunteer board of directors from the far reaches of York Region. It works in partnership within its communities on various environmental and ecological projects of mutual concern.
